PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high contrast images of both of a macula part and an optic disk part by one photographing of the eyeground. SOLUTION: Eyeground image data is written in a frame memory in S1 and the brightness data of the macula part is extracted in S2 and a lookup table for the macula part is provided on the basis of the brightness data in S3. The written data is read in S4 and converted in gradation by the lookup table in S5 and converted to a file format in S6 to be stored in a recording medium in S7. The data is displayed on a television monitor as the image of the macula part in S8. The brightness data of the optic disk part is extracted from the image data in S9 and a lookup table for the optic disk part is set on the basis of the brightness in S10. The data is read in S11 and converted in gradation by the lookup table in S12 and converted to a file format in S13. The data is stored in S14 and displayed on other television monitor as the image of the optic disk part in S15.
