PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile powdery fat for suitable use as a material to be cooked or additive for both of tasty beverages and soups.SOLUTION: An oil-in-water type emulsion of a fat composition containing fat (oil phase) and an aqueous dextrin solution (water phase) is dried and pulverized to make the powdery fat. The 50 mass% dextrin aqueous solution has a viscosity of 50 to 500 mPas when measured at 25°C. The fat composition has a fat content of 46 to 86 mass%, and a particle diameter of 0.4 to 2.2 μm when dissolved in water.
