The present invention refers to a vegetable composition that comprises extracts of Sechium Chinantiense, Sechium Compositum, or combinations thereof for preventing and/or treating neoplasms, such as solid tumours, cervical intra-epithelial neoplasia and leukaemia. The extracts of Sechium Chinantiense, Sechium Compositum, or combinations thereof, are present in the composition in an interval of from about 0.5 Ág/ml to about 20 Ág/ml. The composition of the present invention has cytotoxic effects over cancer cells, but it is harmless to healthy cells and has properties for regenerating leucocytes.La presente invención se refiere a una composición vegetal que comprende extractos de Sechium Chinantiense, Sechium Compositum, o combinaciones de los mismos para prevención y/o tratamiento de neoplasias tales como tumores sólidos, neoplasia cervical intraepitelial y leucemia. Los extractos de Sechium Chinantiense, Sechium Compositum, o combinaciones de los mismos, se encuentran presentes en la composición en un intervalo de 0.5 µg/ml a 20 µg/ml. La composición de la presente invención presenta un efecto citotóxico sobre células cancerígenas, pero es inocuo sobre células sanas y presenta propiedades de regenaración de leucocitos.
