A composition containing rose hip flesh or rose hips including the naturally occurring amount of seeds, or a concentrate is enriched with rose hip seeds for reducing and/or alleviating symptoms of inflammatory diseases. A method of preparing the rose hip seeds involves separating the rose hip seeds from the flesh prior to or after drying. Drying is preferably performed below 50° C. with the rose hip seeds then ground into a powder and mixed with a rose hip composition, a concentrate or an extract containing rose hip shells or Rose hips including their naturally occurring amount of seeds providing a product enriched with Rose hips seeds preferably containing at least 50% up to 85%, (by weight) of rose hip seeds.
