PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic activity accelerator making up for a photolysis action of a visible light responsive photocatalyst to accelerate its photocatalytic activity and the visible light responsive photocatalyst used together with the catalytic activity accelerator, and an efficient photolysis method of environmental pollutant consisting of an aromatic compound using the visible light responsive catalyst.SOLUTION: The visible light responsive photocatalyst in which a palladium compound is carried by a tungsten compound by a kneading method or a wet preparation method is used for photolysis of the environmental pollutant consisting of the aromatic compound.
