PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carrier particles for measurement reagents that enables sensitive measurement over a wide range of specimen concentration (a low-concentration region to a high-concentration one), further, has long-term reagent stability after processing, and can also be used for immune serum examination using an optical measuring apparatus, and to provide a measurement reagent which uses the carrier particles. SOLUTION: The carrier particle for measurement reagents is composed of a polymerizable monomer, having a phenyl group, and a carrier particle made of a copolymer, having only the polymerizable monomer having the phenyl group and lithium sulfonate as the monomer constituent. The amount of lithium sulfonate charge, on the surface of the carrier particle by cyclic voltammetry measurement, is -10 to -40μA, and the average grain size of the carrier particle is 0.01-1.5μm.
