PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inhibitor for parakeratosis, a pore reducing agent, a skin roughening preventing agent or ameliorating agent having functions such as inhibition of parakeratosis, pore reducing, skin roughening prevention or ameliorating, free from safety problems such as feeling irritation or the like.SOLUTION: The invention relates to the inhibitor for parakeratosis, pore reducing agent or skin roughening preventing or ameliorating agent comprising one or two or more of compounds selected from a group comprising derivatives of &alpha-alanine and salts thereof.
