In this collimator (6), the irradiation field (F) is set with respect to the diseased area (T) with good precision by making multiple leaf plates (13B) to be slidable along the left-right direction (X). By making the divided leaf plates (15) of the leaf plates (13B) to also be slidable in the irradiation direction (Y), the divided leaf plates (15) can be brought near the body surface of the patient (P) so as to follow the contour of the area being irradiated. The space between the collimator (6) and the patient (P) is thereby narrowed, limiting neutron dispersion. As a result, the neutron dose per time that is irradiated on the diseased area (T) is secured and irradiation time is shortened.本發明提供一種中子捕捉療法用準直器及中子捕捉療法裝置，其能夠確保相應時間內照射於患部之中子束量並縮短照射時間。本發明的準直器(6)中，藉由使複數個葉板(13B)能夠沿左右方向X滑動來相對於患部T高精度地設定照射場F。而且，使葉板(13B)的分割葉板(15)亦能夠在照射方向Y上滑動，藉此能夠以按照照射部位的形狀之方式使分割葉板(15)靠近患者P的體表。藉此，使準直器(6)與患者P之間的間隔變窄，抑制中子的散逸。作為其結果，確保相應時間內照射於患部T之中子束量，縮短照射時間。
