The invention provides in a first aspect a method of performing an oral glucose tolerance or challenge test on a patient, the method comprising the steps of (i) administering to the patient a defined amount of a drinkable gel formulation (1) containing glucose as the dominant carbohydrate (ii) measuring a blood glucose concentration of the patient at one or more defined time points relative to the step of administering and (iii) determining the patients glucose tolerance condition from the blood glucose concentrations at the defined time point (s). In another aspect, the invention provides a dosage form (1) of glucose formulated in a drinkable gel, provided in an amount adapted for carrying out one oral glucose tolerance or challenge test on one patient.Linvention concerne, sous un premier aspect, un procédé de réalisation dun test oral de déclenchement ou de tolérance au glucose chez un patient, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à (i) administrer au patient une quantité définie dune formulation en gel buvable (1) contenant du glucose comme glucide dominant (ii) mesurer une concentration de glucose sanguin du patient à un ou plusieurs instants définis par rapport à létape dadministration et (iii) déterminer létat de tolérance au glucose du patient à partir des concentrations de glucose dans le sang au(x) moment(s) défini(s). Sous un autre aspect, linvention concerne une forme posologique (1) de glucose formulée sous la forme dun gel buvable, fournie en une quantité adaptée pour réaliser un test oral de déclenchement ou de tolérance au glucose chez un patient.
