La présente invention se rapporte à une utilisation d'un gel osmotique comprenant de l'eau, du glycérol, au moins un polymère poly(méth)acrylate, au moins un polyéthylène glycol de masse moléculaire inférieure à 1000 g/mol et d'octanediol caractérisée en ce que le gel osmotique est utilisé après avoir appliqué une solution désinfectante sur la peau dans le but de prévenir et/ou traiter une altération de la peau, qui peut survenir suite à une utilisation répétée de ladite solution et/ou dudit gel hydro-alcoolique désinfectant sur ladite peau, sans pour cela détruire la désinfection apportée par la solution désinfectante.
