The present invention relates to a composition for treating alcoholism containing Xanthii Fructus extract as an active ingredient and a method for preparing the same, and more particularly, the composition is characterized by comprising the following steps: (1) stir-frying Xanthii Fructus for 3-5 minutes； (2) inserting Xanthii Fructus, 40-50 times weight of water compared with weight of the Xanthii Fructus, a cock pheasant, and 250-350 g of jujube in a certain size of a pressure cooker, and performing hot pressing to it so as to acquire hot-water extract； (3) discharging compressed air generated in the pressure cooker； and (4) filtering the hot-water extract so as to collect filtrate.
