The invention relates to a method for selectively enhancing the growth of bacteria from the Lactobacillus casei group in a mixed culture, by adding manganese to the culture medium. Said method is suitable in particular in the case of mixed cultures associating Lactobacillus casei with yogurt bacteria.La présente invention porte sur un procédé permettant de renforcer sélectivement la croissance des bactéries appartenant au groupe de Lactobacillus casei dans une culture mixte, par ajout de manganèse au milieu de culture. Ledit procédé est particulièrement adapté au cas des cultures mixtes associant Lactobacillus casei à des bactéries du yaourt.
