The present invention relates to a novel method for obtaining a modafinil-based pharmaceutical composition. This method consists in solubilizing S modafinil in supercritical fluid and then causing S fluid to be absorbed onto the surface by a support which appears as a granule after expansion of the fluid, thereby recovering S modafinil. The fluid may be CO 2 or another solvent and the support may be anhydrous lactose or mannitol.
