The present invention relates to an animal model of pterygium which is prepared by injecting the human-derived epithelial pterygium cells separately cultured in vitro to a mouse. More specifically, the human-derived epithelial pterygium cells are separately cultured and successively cultured. The human-derived epithelial pterygium cells having confirmed equality are injected into a subconjunctival spot on the nose of the mouse to provide the animal models showing the symptoms similar to the pterygium only seen in humans.
