The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medical composition for submucosal injection which is of a low price, has excellent mucous membrane uplift properties, and is easy to be emitted from the inside of a puncture needle for endoscope. Provided is a medical composition which is for being injected into the lower layer of mucous membrane in endoscopic mucosal resection or endoscopic submucous layer dissection. The composition contains alginic acid having a weight average molecular weight of more than or equal to two hundred thousand or a medically allowable salt, and a solvent, wherein the concentration of alginic acid or a medically allowable salt in the composition is 0.4-1.0w/v%.[과제] 염가이고, 뛰어난 점막 융기 능력을 가지며, 바람직하게는 내시경용 천자침 내로부터 배출되기 쉬운, 점막하 주입용의 의료용 조성물을 제공하는 것이다.[해결 수단] 내시경적 점막 절제술 또는 내시경적 점막 하층 박리술에 있어서 점막 하층에 주입하기 위한 의료용 조성물로서, 중량 평균 분자량이 20만 이상인 알긴산 또는 그 의학적으로 허용되는 염과, 용매를 함유하고, 액상인 조성물, 바람직하게는 상기 조성물 중의 알긴산 또는 그 의학적으로 허용되는 염의 농도가 0.4w/v% 이상 1.0w/v% 이하인 조성물을 제공한다.
