Of the antibodies reactive with natural TGFα, an antibody with low reactivity with G79A-substituted TGFα was found to have an excellent growth inhibitory effect on cancer cells having a mutation in the Ras gene. Furthermore, it has been found that many of these antibodies also have an activity of inhibiting tyrosine phosphorylation of EGFR and / or an activity of suppressing the attraction of vascular endothelial cells.天然型TGFαに反応性を示す抗体のうち、G79A置換型TGFαとの反応性が低い抗体が、Ras遺伝子に変異を有する癌細胞に対して、優れた増殖抑制効果を有することを見出した。さらに、これら抗体の多くが、EGFRのチロシンリン酸化を阻害する活性および／または血管内皮細胞の誘引抑制活性をも有することを見出した。
