A wearable apparatus includes an authentication processing unit that performs personal authentication for a user wearing the wearable apparatus, a detection unit that detects a mounting state of the wearable apparatus, a determination processing unit that determines whether a result of the personal authentication is valid or invalid on the basis of the mounting state detected by the detection unit, and a control unit that omits the personal authentication in the authentication processing unit, and outputs a result of the personal authentication in a case where the user is personally authenticated by the authentication processing unit, and then the result of the personal authentication is determined as being valid by the determination processing unit.
