Test element for a human or animal fluid sample, e.g. to test for glucose, has a sampling surface and an actuator field to pull the sample to a test field
The test element (1), to study a human or animal fluid sample for a significant medical component, has a sampling surface (2) to take the sample fluid and a test field (4) where characteristic values are measured. - An actuator field (5a-5d) moves the fluid sample using an electrically conductive layer (6) with an electrical connection, and a hydrophobic covering layer. Various voltages are applied to the conductive layer between an initial level where a pull is applied to the sample and a setting where a lower pull is applied. A voltage control action is used to wet the test field with the sample fluid at the sampling surface.
