PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sedate symptoms of a patient even when an acupuncturist does not continue a direct treatment.SOLUTION: An acupuncture and moxibustion needle includes a hollow needle body 1 and an absorbable thread 2 which is temporarily stopped on this needle. One end of the absorbable thread 2 is inserted into the tip of the needle body 1. Another end of the absorbable thread 2 is detachably fixed by a thread stopper member 11 provided in between the tip and the end of the needle body 1. The other end of the absorbable thread 2 is removed from the thread stopper member 11 when the needle body 1 punctures a body B of a patient. One end of the absorbable thread 2 slips out of the tip of this needle body when the needle body 1 which punctures the body B is removed.
