PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe where a rectangle vibrator and a piezoelectric vibrator other than the rectangle vibrator is used, a configuration for joining a flexible printed circuit board to a rear surface of a piezoelectric element is used, and a bent part is protected by a protection layer.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe includes a base layer, a signal wiring layer, and a protection layer. The base layer has an upsurge in some parts. The signal wiring layer is formed on a surface at the side of a piezoelectric element of the base layer along with the base layer, and connected to a signal electrode grounded at a rear surface of the piezoelectric element via a part corresponding to the upsurge. The protection layer is formed in both sides across a part of the signal wiring layer corresponding to the upsurge. The ultrasonic probe also includes a flexible printed circuit board.
