PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic which is harmless to a human body, has high dispersion stability, is capable of preventing coagulation and precipitation over a comparatively long period, and is capable of effectively inhibiting proliferation of microorganisms.SOLUTION: The cosmetic is prepared by dispersing an antibacterial composition in an aqueous medium. The antibacterial composition is obtained by precipitating fine silver particles at the vicinities of &alpha-amino groups of a polypeptide compound, and allowing the fine silver particles to be carried by the nitrogen atoms of the &alpha-amino groups by electrostatic adsorption, by adding a silver salt solution and a catalyst to an aqueous solution of a collagen and the polypeptide compound obtained by hydrolyzing the collagen to react them, and irradiating the product with ultraviolet rays having &le400 nm wave length to reduce the product. The pH of the aqueous solvent is controlled at 6-8.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】、人体に対して無害であり、しかも、分散安定性が高く、比較的長期に亘って凝集や沈殿を防ぐことができ、微生物の増殖を効果的に抑制することのできる化粧料を提供する。【解決手段】水性溶媒中に抗菌性組成物を分散させて調製した化粧料であって、前記抗菌性組成物は、コラーゲン及びその加水分解により得られるポリペプチド化合物の水溶液に銀塩溶液及び触媒を添加して反応させたのち、これに波長400nm以下の紫外線を照射して還元を行うことにより、当該ポリペプチド化合物のαアミノ基の近傍に微細銀粒子を析出させると同時に、当該微細銀粒子をαアミノ基の窒素原子に静電吸着により担持させたものであり、前記水性溶媒のpHを6~8に調整した。【選択図】なし
