A method for estimation of the effectiveness of soil insecticidal preparations in field conditions includes applying chemical preparations in a mixture with an attractant and a filler with the further counting of dead individuals of insect pests per 1 m2 of the area of an agrocenose. A mixture of one of the chemical preparations with an attractant and a filler is broadcasted on a plot inhabited with mole crickets as the indicator species, countings are carried out daily in the course of 10 days, the amount of dead individuals on the soil surface is counted, biomass thereof expressed per 1 m2 on 1st-10th day after using the preparations as well as the effectiveness of the soil insecticides are determined according to the following formula: E= BD 1+ BD 2+...+ BD 10, where E is effectiveness of the preparation; BD1-10 is the biomass of dead mole crickets per 1 m2 on 1st-10th day after using the preparation.
