Disclosed herein is a pesticidal composition comprising a carboxamide compound of formula (I), wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group, and R2 represents a methyl group, a difluoromethyl group or a trifluoromethyl group, and one or more phenylpyrazole compounds selected from group (A) consisting of fipronil and ethiprole and a method for controlling pest which comprises treating a plant or soil where a plant grows with an effective amount of said composition.
