Disclosed herein is a pesticidal composition comprising a carboxamide compound of formula (I), wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group, and R2 represents a methyl group, a difluoromethyl group or a trifluoromethyl group, and one or more neonicotinoid compound selected from group (A) consisting of acetamiprid, clothianidin, dinotefuran, imidacloprid, nitenpyram, thiacloprid and thiamethoxam and a method for controlling pest which comprises treating a plant, or soil where a plant grows, with an effective amount of said composition.
