A tape magazine for analysing a body fluid, for example blood, comprising atesttape, a reel body for unused test tape and a reel body for used test tape, atleast onereel body being driven in order to forward the test tape, and a hand-operatedtransport mechanism as a tape drive, in which transport mechanism has anoperatinglever for the hand operation that is coupled to at least one reel body, andwhereinsaid transport mechanism has an energy transducer to convert mechanical energyinto electrical energy in order to supply energy to a device electronics. Thetapemagazine may form a hand-held device. The hand-held device may be a disposablehand-held device and may have polymer-based electronic components.
