A drug for preventing or treating inflammatory bowel disease, said drug comprising as an active ingredient an RXR agonist that is a compound represented by formula (1). In formula (1), it is preferred that: R1 represents an alkyl group R2 represents an alkyl group W represents NR3 (wherein R3 represents an alkyl group) X1 represents CH Y1 represents N X2 and Y2 represent CH and Z represents a carboxyl group. Thus, a drug capable of strongly preventing or treating inflammatory bowel disease while suppressing the onset of side effects can be provided.La présente invention concerne un médicament pour la prévention ou le traitement dune maladie inflammatoire de lintestin, ledit médicament comprenant, utilisé comme principe actif, un agoniste de RXR qui est un composé représenté par la formule (1). De préférence, dans la formule (1) : R1 représente un groupe alkyle R2 représente un groupe alkyle W représente NR3 (R3 représentant un groupe alkyle) X1 représente CH Y1 représente N X2 et Y2 représentent CH et Z représente un groupe carboxyle. Ainsi, linvention peut comprendre un médicament susceptible de prévenir ou de traiter efficacement une maladie inflammatoire de lintestin tout en supprimant lapparition deffets secondaires.下記式(1)で表される化合物であるRXRアゴニストを有効成分とする、炎症性腸疾患の予防又は治療用薬剤。R1がアルキル基であり、R2がアルキル基であり、WがNR3であり、R3がアルキル基であり、X1がCHであり、Y1がNであり、X2及びY2がCHであり、Zがカルボキシル基であることが好ましい。これにより、副作用の発現を抑制しながら、強力に炎症性腸疾患を予防もしくは治療しうる薬剤が提供される。
