The gutter support comprises a material element which adopts a substantially U-shaped form including a base 16 and opposing sides 14, wherein the base defines a substantially U-shaped mounting region 18, the region including a pair of side limbs 20 and an interconnecting part 22, wherein the interconnecting part lies in a plane 26 that is angled to a plane 24 containing the base. The plane of the interconnecting part may be perpendicular to the base or may be at an angle between 30 and 150 degrees. The material element may comprise a wire, rod or the like which is bent into shape. Also disclosed is a structure comprising a tubular leg to which the gutter support as disclosed is fitted within. Also disclosed is a gutter support which adopts a substantially U-shaped form and including upper sections that are connectable to one another.
