The mixer (1) has a mixing container (4) attached to a fan (5) that is driven by a drive transmission shaft (3) over a drive shaft (7), where a rotational axis of the transmission shaft runs at an angle to a rotational axis of the fan. A drive device (8) e.g. belt drive, stays in transmission connection with the shafts, and comprises deflection rollers and a continuous transmission element i.e. belt. The rollers run in planes that run perpendicular to the respective shafts. An alignment unit deflects the transmission element between the planes.
