A lawn mower includes a drive source for driving acutter blade through a rotation shaft, a flap provided forthe cutter blade in a manner that the flaps have a flapangle changeable along a horizontal line which isperpendicular to the rotation shaft, an actuator forcontrolling the flap angle of the flaps, a control unit forcontrolling the actuator, and a blade switching unit forswitching the cutter blade between an operation state and astop state. When the control unit determines that a stopswitch signal has been received from the blade switchingunit, the control unit controls the actuator to increase theflap angle of the flaps.
