PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel handling device allowing reduction in the amount of used fresh water and having certain cooling capacity through one year. SOLUTION: The vessel handling device comprises a cooling water passage disposed between a high-temperature-side water sprayed tub 6 and low-temperature-side water sprayed tubs 7-10 or low-temperature-side water spray nozzles 36-41, a cooling means 27 for cooling the cooling water fed from the high-temperature-side water sprayed tub 6 disposed in the cooling water passage, a fresh water supply pipe 44 connected to each water tank, controllers 48-52 for controlling on-off valves 17-21 for fresh water disposed in the fresh water supply pipe 44, and temperature detecting means 31-35 for detecting cooling water temperature in each water tank. The vessel handling device can be switched between a circulation operation mode where an on-off valve 53 for cooling water is opened to cool the cooling water in the high-temperature-side water sprayed tub 6 with the cooling means 27 and then the cooling water is fed to the low-temperature-side water sprayed tubs 7-10 or the low-temperature-side water spray nozzles 36-41 to cool each water tank and a fresh water supply operation mode where fresh water is supplied to the water tank in response to signals of the temperature detecting means 31-35 to cool each water tank.
