The present invention concerns a lifting and positioning device (1) for moving at least one object (3) in the axial direction of a tower (2) or similar. The lifting device (1) includes at least one frame (5), intended to completely or partially encircle the tower's (2) circumference, at least one supporting device (7), with which the frame (5) is supported against the tower (2), and at least one positioning device (6) that can position the lifted object and at least one conveying device (8). The unique feature of the present lifting and positioning device (1) is that the frame (5) includes at least one first frame part (9) and at least one second frame part (10) which can be temporarily connected to each other around the tower (2) and the positioning device (6) is pivotally arranged around at least one axis and the conveying device (8), includes at least one supporting device (7) that supports the frame against the tower (2).
