PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden on an operator without reduction in a frame rate in a case where the operator performs an operation for displaying an image of a desired region in an ultrasonic observation system using a radial type ultrasonic endoscope.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic observation device includes: an image generation unit which generates an ultrasonic image on the basis of an ultrasonic signal received by a radial type ultrasonic vibrator for transmitting ultrasonic waves radially along a plurality of sound ray directions to an observation object and receiving the ultrasonic waves reflected on the observation object an input unit which receives a signal based on an input operation of a visualization region to the ultrasonic image a visualization region setting unit which sets the visualization region in accordance with the signal a distance calculation unit which calculates a distance, in a prescribed radial direction around the vibrator position, between a contour line of the set visualization region and the vibrator position being the position of the ultrasonic vibrator on the ultrasonic image generated by the image generation unit and a control unit which controls the driving of the ultrasonic vibrator on the basis of the distance calculated by the distance calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】ラジアル型の超音波内視鏡を用いた超音波観測システムにおいて、術者が所望の領域の画像を表示させる操作を行う場合にフレームレートを低下させず、かつ術者の負担を軽減する。【解決手段】超音波観測装置は、観測対象へ複数の音線方向に沿って放射状に超音波を送信し、観測対象で反射された超音波を受信するラジアル型の超音波振動子が受信した超音波信号に基づいて超音波画像を生成する画像生成部と、超音波画像に対する描出領域の入力操作に基づく信号を受け付ける入力部と、その信号に応じて描出領域を設定する描出領域設定部と、設定された描出領域の輪郭線と画像生成部が生成した超音波画像上における超音波振動子の位置である振動子位置との距離であって、振動子位置を中心とする所定の半径方向の距離を算出する距離算出部と、距離算出部が算出した距離に基づいて、超音波振動子の駆動を制御する制御部と、を備えた。【選択図】図1
