A device and method for inserting a liner into an acetabular cup. The device includes a first portion configured to engage the liner and a rim of the acetabular cup to align a pole of the liner and a pole of the cup along an axis of the device prior to insertion of the liner into the cup. The device also includes a second portion for pushing the liner into the cup. The second portion includes a guide arrangement for engaging a rim of the liner. The second portion is coupled to the first portion for movement of the second portion with respect to the first portion along said axis.La présente invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant d'insérer une garniture dans une coupelle acétabulaire. Le dispositif comprend une première partie configurée pour mettre en prise la garniture et un rebord de la coupelle acétabulaire pour aligner un pôle de la garniture et un pôle de la coupelle le long d'un axe du dispositif avant l'insertion de la garniture dans la coupelle. Le dispositif comprend également une seconde partie de poussée sur la garniture dans la coupelle. La seconde partie comprend un agencement de guidage pour mettre en prise un rebord de la garniture. La seconde partie est accouplée à la première partie pour le mouvement de la seconde partie par rapport à la première partie le long dudit axe.
