Techniques are proposed to make it easier to parallelize timer-reliant processes. An information processing apparatus (10) executes one process (11), while another information processing apparatus (20) executes another process (21). The former information processing apparatus (10) obtains a first issuance request produced by its local process (11). The former information processing apparatus (10) also receives issuance timing information that the latter information processing apparatus (20) issues in response to a second issuance request from its local process (21). Based on this issuance timing information, the former information processing apparatus (10) controls issuance timing of a timer event that is to be issued to the process (11) in response to the first issuance request.
