PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed storage system, a node, and a data managing method and program that can avoid without fail leaks of specific information of a high importance level.SOLUTION: A distributed storage system 10 comprises a managing device 20 and a plurality of nodes 30 for storing data. The managing device 20 divides the data to be stored into a plurality of partial data sets, and transmits each of the plurality of partial data sets to each of the nodes 30. All or some of the nodes 30 store transmitted partial data sets and, if the pre-division original data of the transmitted partial data sets is classified as secret information, secret information pointers to indicate the storage positions of the partial data sets are generated.
