PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective vaccine against meningococcal serogroups W135 and H.influenzae type b disease.SOLUTION: Conjugated capsular saccharides from meningococcal serogroups C, serogroups W135 and serogroups Y are safe and immunogenic in humans when combined in a single dose. These conjugated antigens can be stably combined in a single aqueous dose without the need for lyophilization. Broad protection against serogroup B infection can be achieved by using a small number of defined polypeptide antigens. These polypeptide antigens can be combined with the saccharide antigens without loss of protective efficacy for any of the five serogroups. The efficacy of a serogroup W135 conjugate is enhanced by addition of protein antigens derived from a serogroup B strain. Addition of an Hib conjugate to meningococcal conjugates enhances the overall activity against meningococcal serogroup W135.【課題】髄膜炎菌血清群Ｗ１３５およびＨ．ｉｎｆｌｕｅｎｚａｅ ｂ型疾患に対して防御性のワクチンを提供すること。【解決手段】髄膜炎菌血清群Ｃ、血清群Ｗ１３５および血清群Ｙ由来の結合体化莢膜サッカリドは、単回用量に組み合わされた場合、ヒトにおいて安全でかつ免疫原性である。これらの結合体化抗原は、単回水性用量において、凍結乾燥の必要性なしに、安定に組み合わされ得る。血清群Ｂ感染に対する広範な防御は、少数の規定されたポリペプチド抗原を用いることにより達成され得る。これらのポリペプチド抗原は、これらの５つの血清群のいずれかに対する防御効力を喪失することなく、これらのサッカリド抗原と組み合わされ得る。血清群Ｗ１３５結合体の効力は、血清群Ｂ株由来のタンパク質抗原の添加により増強される。髄膜炎菌結合体へのＨｉｂ結合体の添加は、髄膜炎菌血清群Ｗ１３５に対する全体的活性を増強する。【選択図】なし
