The present invention relates to hydrogen sulfide scavenging additive composition comprising glyoxal and a polymer compound which is polymer made from propylene oxide, which is capable of scavenging or removing hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons or hydrocarbon streams without causing any problem.
