PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compounding method with which dispersibility of a water-soluble polymer to improve foam quality is improved in a detergent composition including as a principal component, a surfactant such as a fatty acid soap.SOLUTION: The water-soluble polymer is granulated together with other dispersible particles, and the produced granules are uniformly dispersed in a melt soap liquid. The detergent composition includes a fatty acid soap portion which is to be a principal ingredient and granules formed by mixing and granulating the water-soluble polymer and the dispersible particles, wherein the granules are uniformly dispersed in the fatty acid soap portion.
