The forced air solar dryer 1 which is the subject of the invention is composed of a conveyor 3, a transparent and hermetic protection 2, a solar collector 12 and an air circulation system. Conveyor 3 unwinds and coils from the loading and unloading area outside the drying zone at one end of the solar dryer. The fruits are poured from a storage bin directly onto the advancing conveyor 3 and makes it possible to introduce the fruits, or the like, distributed over the entire surface of the conveyor in a single layer, under the transparent protection in the drying zone. The fruits are dried by direct solar energy and by the air heated by the solar collector 12. During all the drying the fruits remain motionless. The air circulation system operates alternately according to the temperature and humidity measured in the drying zone. When the fruits are dry, the conveyor 3 re-rolls up and leaves the dried fruits of the drying zone. The dried fruits fall directly into storage boxes placed at the end of the conveyor 3.
