PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for washing ginger and the like that can wash irregularly-shaped vegetables such as ginger without damaging and reduce the labor for work required for washing.SOLUTION: An apparatus for washing ginger and the like includes: a high-pressure water jetting means for jetting high-pressure water to an object to be washed along the direction of movement of the object to be washed； an inside-washing roll brush 16 disposed along the longitudinal direction； an outside-washing roll brush 18 positioned outside of the inside-washing roll brush 16； and a brush 20 for preventing the object to be washed from flying out which is located above the outside-washing roll brush 18. Brush parts are formed by tilting a plurality of bristle materials in the direction in which the object to be washed advances and planting them in the inside-washing roll brush 16 and the outside-washing roll brush 18.
