PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine for Japanese radish and the like, equipped with plural roll brushes and press brushes, wherein, soil and the like attached on the radish is almost perfectly washed without peeling the peel of the radish and the like and transferring the radish and the like in the parallelly aligned state with the rotation shaft of the roll brushes.SOLUTION: The washing machine comprises a pre-washing part having pressing brushes and roll brushes opposing to the press brushes, a pressurized water washing part for ejecting pressurized water to the radish or the like to wash, and a finish washing part, wherein the pressurized water washing part is equipped with a roll brush 21b1, a hairless roll 21c1, a roll brush 21b2, a hairless roll 21c2, a joining press brush 231, a low speed press brush 232, and a pressurized water supplying means, the hairless rolls 21c1, 21c2 comprise a plastic, a metal, wood or the like, and the hairless rolls 21c1 and 21c2 may be covered with a plastic such as vinyl chloride around the roll brushes [fig.
