The method comprises: acquiring first fingerprint information and first life feature information input by a user via touch operations; determining whether second fingerprint information exists in pre-set fingerprint information, wherein the second fingerprint information matches the first fingerprint information, and life feature information bound to the second fingerprint information matches the first life feature information; and when the second fingerprint information exists, determining that the first fingerprint information is legitimate fingerprint information. It can be seen that counterfeit fingerprint information can be recognized by implementing the embodiments of the present invention, thereby improving the security of a user equipment.
