PURPOSE: An antibacterial tooth paste composition for preventing dental caries and periodontal diseases is provided to ensure strong sterilizing effect to streptococcus mutans. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial tooth paste composition contains 0.6-3.0 weight% of mixture solution containing Sophorae Radix extract and Forsythiae Fructus extract based on total weight of tooth paste base. The tooth paste base contains 15-50 weight% of abrasive of calcium carbonate, calcium pyrophosphate, calcium metaphosphate, silica, aluminum silicate, and aluminum hydroxide； 0.5-4.0 weight% of tackifier of carboxy methyl cellulose, hydroxy methyl cellulose, carrageenan, Arabia gum, and vinyl alcohol； 5.0-20 weight% of wetting agent of polyethylene glycol, sorbitol, and glycerin polyvinyl alcohol； and 10-50 weight% of perfume, saccharin, antiseptic, and purified water.본 발명은 충치원인균과 치주병 원인균에 대하여 강한 살균력을 가지며, 충치원인균의 균체외 GTase의 분비 활성을 억제하는 항균성분을 효율적으로 배합하여 프라그 형성에 의한 충치 및 치주질환을 예방하기 위한 항균성 치약 조성물에 관한 것이다.개시한 본 발명의 항균성 치약 조성물은 치약베이스의 전체 중량에 대하여, 구강질환의 예방에 효과적인 것으로 알려져 있는 고삼, 연교 및 만병초에서 추출된 수용성 추출물을 더 포함하여 혼합하고, 상기 혼합된 고삼, 연교 및 만병초의 수용성 추출물은 각각 동률의 중량％로 혼합하되, 그 혼합 수용성 추출물의 중량비가 0.6중량％∼3.0중량％로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.이에 따라 고삼, 연교 및 만병초로부터 얻어진 혼합 수용성 추출물이 스트렙토코크스뮤탄스에 대한 강한 살균작용을 하기 때문에 충치 및 치주질환이 예방되고, 또 충치원인균의 GTase의 분비 활성을 억제하는 효과가 있다.
