PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling needle preventing erroneous puncture to a medical worker and reducing burdens on a patient.SOLUTION: The indwelling needle 1 comprises a cylindrical main body part 3 to be fixed to a body to be mounted, a cylindrical hub 5 for holding a needle 4, and a cylindrical protective cover 6 provided so as to surround the needle and be slidable along the needle. In the using state of the indwelling needle, the hub and the needle are moved forward to the distal end side relative to the main body part and the protective cover is moved backward to the rear end side relative to the main body part to project the blade tip of the needle from the protective cover. After using the indwelling needle, the hub is moved backward to the rear end side relative to the main body part, the protective cover is moved forward to the distal end side to house the blade tip of the needle inside the protective cover and the housing state of the indwelling needle is attained.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【解決手段】 留置針1は、被装着体に固定される筒状の本体部3と、針4を保持する筒状のハブ5と、針を囲繞するとともに該針に沿って摺動可能に設けられた筒状の保護カバー6とを備えている。当該留置針の使用状態においては、本体部に対してハブ及び針を先端側に前進させるとともに、本体部に対して保護カバーを後端側に後退させて針の刃先を保護カバーより突出させておき、該留置針の使用後には、上記本体部に対して上記ハブを後端側に後退させるとともに、保護カバーを先端側に前進させて、針の刃先を保護カバー内に収納させて、留置針の収納状態とするようになっている。【効果】 医療従事者への誤穿刺を防止すると共に、患者への負担を軽減することができる。【選択図】 図3
