Various examples described herein test a data storage device with test field data generated based on a data block address and a data table. In particular, an initial version of a data block is written to a data block location on the data storage device. The initial version of the data block may include a data field containing an initial version of test data, and the initial version of the test data may be generated based on a data table and a data block address associated with the data block location. Eventually, a stored version of the data block from the data block location, where the stored version of the data block includes a data field containing a stored version of the test data.
