PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide psychological state improving agents that can increase exhilaration by ingesting on a daily basis, as well as to provide psychological state improving agents, pharmaceutical products, and foods or beverages containing as a main component bifidobacteria of Bifidobacterium longum derived from inside infant intestine having high serotonin secretion promoting ability.SOLUTION: The present inventors focused on the fact that serotonin is indispensable for the biosynthesis of BDNF, and as a result of screening for a large number of bifidobacteria, found that bifidobacteria of Bifidobacterium longum derived from inside infant intestine, in particular Bifidobacterium longum N61 strain (NITE BP-02214) has a high serotonin secretion promoting ability and that it is effective to improve psychological state, and finally completed the present invention.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、日常的に摂取して爽快感を高めることが可能な心理状態改善剤を提供することを課題とする。本発明は、高いセロトニン分泌促進能力を有する乳児腸内由来のビフィドバクテリウム属ロンガム種のビフィズス菌及びその発酵物を主成分として含有する心理状態改善剤、医薬品、および飲食品を提供する。【解決手段】本発明者らは、BDNFの生合成にはセロトニンが必要不可欠である点に着目し、多数のビフィズス菌についてスクリーニングを行った結果、乳児腸内由来のビフィドバクテリウム属ロンガム種のビフィズス菌、特にビフィドバクテリウム・ロンガムN61株(NITE BP-02214)には高いセロトニン分泌促進能力があり、心理状態の改善に有効であることを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。【選択図】図3
