PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latex production increasing agent and a method for increasing the production of latex, which suppress the tree height of a latex production plant to strengthen the plant against wind damage, further thicken the part of a tapping panel to increase a tapping area, and further increase latex duct cells to increase the yield of latex.SOLUTION: The latex production increasing agent includes, as active constituents: one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of jasmonic acid and its derivatives and a plant growth retardant.
