PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for efficiently increasing latex production by improving the production ability itself of a latex-producing plant, and a method for increasing latex production by using the agent for increasing latex production.SOLUTION: The agent for increasing latex production includes one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of jasmonic acid and its derivatives, and 5-aminolevulinic acid as effective components.
