PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candy or caramel coated food suitable for the mass production of candy or caramel coated food, and having machine aptitude.SOLUTION: A method for producing the candy coated food includes producing candy by mixing and heating the saccharide-containing raw material, and using as food surface coating candy, candy adjusted in a mixing quantity of oil-and-fat, or emulsified oil and fat so as to float oil-and-fat on a candy surface. A method for producing the caramel coated food includes producing caramel by mixing and heating the raw material containing saccharide, starch sirup, reduced starch sirup, oil-and-fat, and a milk protein-containing material, and using as food surface coating caramel, caramel adjusted in a mixing quantity of oil-and-fat, so as to float oil-and-fat on a caramel surface. Furthermore, the caramel coated food is obtained by coating the surface with the caramel which is produced by mixing and heating the raw material containing saccharide, starch sirup, reduced starch sirup, oil-and-fat, and a milk protein-containing material, and adjusted in a mixing quantity of oil-and-fat so as to float oil-and-fat on a caramel surface.
