PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible capture a favorable fundus image by facilitating the alignment.
SOLUTION: This fundus camera is provided with an anterior ocular segment observation optical system having a first image pickup device for capturing the image of the anterior ocular segment of a subjects eye, a fundus observation optical system having a second image pickup device for capturing the fundus of the subjects eye illuminated by an illumination optical system, and a display means capable of switchingly displaying the anterior ocular segment image captured by the first image pickup device and the fundus image captured by the second image pickup device. This fundus camera is further provided with a display changeover means changing over the display state of the observation image of the display means from the anterior ocular image display by the first image pickup device to the fundus image display by the second image pickup device and, when the alignment position when changing over the observation image by the display changeover means is not the alignment position positioned by a first alignment criterion, sets a second alignment criterion based on the capturing result of the first image pickup device and defines it as the alignment criterion when the observation image is set to the fundus image.
